Moving away to start over with family?
I'm 24 going on 25, married to my children's father. We have 3 children between us. We have been wanting to move away for some time, but have yet to do so. We have good reasons for cutting our ties. Where we currently live is less than a 30 second walk to my mother's home, whom she shares with some VERY less than desirable people who have drug problems, anger issues, and abuse issues. I'm tired of the negative energy coming from there and forcing itself into my family's life. We also live in an area with VERY VERY high unemployment in Michigan (Flint area). We want better for our children. We're tired of struggling and being behind because we search and search and can't find work that will be enough. We've been thinking if we packed up and moved, it would give us time to establish ourselves somewhere else, find jobs, and make enough money to pay off debts, while giving our children a better life. And we would be far away from the drama that my own family adds. It would be a healthier situation. We aren't running from our problems, we're trying to find a different approach to our solutions. Is this possible? Any advice?
