Is striking a flint to make a spark endothermic or exothermic?

Well when you strike the flint, the object in which you strike it upon and the flint itself absorb the heat first, making it an endothermic reaction, then they release the heat in form of sparks, making the reaction exothermic. So basically, striking flint is both an endothermic and exothermic reaction.
